National Indoor Soccer League Announcing Home Openers for 2023 Season

TAMPA, FL – The National Indoor Soccer League (NISL) is pleased to announce home opening dates and match-ups for the 2023 season.

In its second year in action, NISL is adding two expansion teams, Tampa Bay Strikers and Central Florida Crusaders.

NISL kicks off its first match in Memphis on Friday, January 20 with the Americans women’s team looking to defend their title from the 2021-2022 season, and the men’s team looking to improve from their loss in the 2021-2022 championship game.

The Strikers will get their first taste of league action in their home-opener, scheduled for Sunday, January 29 at Yuengling Center.

The bulk of each team’s 16-game league schedule will be held in the months of February – April, with 8 home and 8 away contests.

The Columbus Rapids kickoff their NISL home opener on Wednesday, February 1st.

On Sunday, February 5th the expansion Central Florida Crusaders host their home opener.

Finally, the Fayetteville Fury have their home opener on Saturday, February 18th at the Crown Coliseum.

A post-season tournament will be held at the conclusion of league play to crown champions in both the Men’s Division and the Women’s Division. The regular season champion in both divisions will automatically advance to the post-season championship match.  The teams that finish in second & third place from the regular season will meet in a semi-final game with the winner advancing to the championship game.

Game times for all matches will be announced with the full season schedule release, expected later this month.
